More about the Stone Shelter

The Stone Pavilion is a product of the early 1920s and is composed of squared rubble stone. Like the earlier Roman Pavilion, the Stone Pavilion was designed by Ernst C. Janssen, a prolific architect active in St. Louis and throughout the Midwest from the last quarter of the nineteenth century to the 1940s. This pavilion was constructed by Louis Drabb for $2,900 in 1923.
