History Series

Join members of Tower Grove Park, historical societies, and the general public for a spring Lecture Series and two wreath laying ceremonies throughout the year.

Lecture Series
The 2020 schedule will be announced in the fall
Guest speakers discuss the history of parks, gardening, and Tower Grove Park. The Lecture Series takes place at The Stupp Center, located in the Park, at the corner of Arsenal and S. Grand, on the first Sunday of the month at 3 p.m. Seating is limited and first-come, first-served.

Wreath Laying Ceremonies
Celebrate the lives of William Shakespeare and Alexander von Humboldt as groups lay wreaths at their respective statues in the Park. A dignified ceremony takes place, followed by refreshments.

Von Humboldt | Sunday, September 8 at 2 p.m. at the statue. Ceremony led by Dr. Steven Rowan of UMSL. RSVP below to let us know you plan to attend, or see who’s attending on our Facebook.
