Facility Core Enhancements

Four interrelated construction projects are designed and will be constructed in the heart of the Park. These improvements will enhance the Park’s ability to maintain our landmark status and will add revenue generating resources.

  • Operations Support Building

    The Operations Support Building is a completely new structure that will serve both back‑of‑house and front‑of‑house functions. The west façade includes a recessed and covered stage, a restroom, and a catering kitchen to support the new Residence Garden. The eastern portion of the building provides much‑needed equipment storage and new locker rooms for the Operations staff. 

  • Headhouse

    A headhouse is an addition to a greenhouse that serves as a dedicated work center, separate from the plant propagation areas under glass. The new headhouse will support the propagation of plants used in the Park’s hallmark Victorian beds and will also serve educational purposes.
