Welcome to the Gaddy Wild Bird Garden Volunteer Group and thank you for your interest in assisting Tower Grove Park’s forestry team in managing this important bird habitat area. The Gaddy Wild Bird Garden is a natural area encompassing approximately 1.48 acres in the northwest area of Tower Grove Park; this area has been designated as an Important Bird Area by the National Audubon Society, and more than 200 resident and migratory bird species have been recorded within the Garden. TGP’s Forestry Team is training volunteers to help park staff achieve management goals and improve this habitat area. TGP Forestry will be hosting multiple training sessions throughout the summer and fall to prepare for working days during the dormant season. Training sessions will be hands-on and will focus on multiple aspects of park and habitat management.
