Celebrate National Arbor Day at Tower Grove Park by helping our Forestry team with new tree plantings!
As Tower Grove Park celebrates 150+ years, we are taking care to maintain the historic canopy of the Park. We have recently developed a Tree Restoration Master Plan that has helped us to assess the health of our trees. Trees that are in fair or poor condition need removal, and in their place, new trees are planted.
Bring your family and friends out for this fun volunteer opportunity, where you will learn firsthand from our Forestry team how to plant and care for a tree sapling.
We will be planting Kousa dogwood 'Scarlet Fire', aka Cornus kousa 'Scarlet Fire'.
UPDATE: We will be meeting at the pedestrian entrance at the intersection of Magnolia and Alfred, located at 38.609123, -90.262783.
