friday, july 28: the three pigs of piggyville puppet show and percussion demonstration

The program will open with a hands-on demonstration of small percussion instruments.

The puppet show is an adaptation of the classic children’s book entitled, The Three Little Pigs. This version stresses the importance of reading. When threatened by the Big Bad Wolf, Rusty’s friend, Buddy Bear, gives him a book on how to build a brick house. Rusty builds a brick house because he can read. The other pigs, Sunny and Woody, cannot read, so they build a house of straw and sticks respectively. The Wolf destroys their homes but cannot destroy Rusty’s house. The puppet show encourages children to read. Involves audience participation.  Recommended for ages 4 and up.

NO SNACKS/DRINKS are served or allowed during this performance, as children may be handling the puppets, and the performers requested this to keep them clean. Please plan accordingly.
