What’s in Bloom: Scavenger Hunt for April 2026

Have you seen me in the Park?

Hi, I’m Virginia bluebells (Mertensia virginica)! My trumpet-shaped blooms start as pink to lavender buds and open into glorious light blue flowers that hang like choir bells. Can you spot me in Tower Grove Park?

Clues to Find Me:

  1. I bloom in early spring—look for me before the trees fully leaf out.

  2. My flowers are trumpet-shaped and light blue, hanging downward like tiny choir bells.

  3. I’m often found in shady, moist areas of the park.

Challenge: Snap a photo, share it on Instagram, and tag us @TowerGrovePark using #TGPinBloomHunt!

Have fun getting creative with your photos—just remember don’t pick the flowers!
