Fall Season Recap Field Trips, Community Programs & Volunteer Impact

This fall was a busy and rewarding season at Tower Grove Park!

Field Trips

We wrapped up the fall field trip season with six trips, engaging 228 children in hands-on outdoor learning.

Community Programs

With support from partners including the St. Louis Astronomical Society, St. Louis Audubon Society, Missouri Department of Conservation, St. Louis Public Library, and Trailnet, we hosted 14 community programs.
Highlights include the Trailnet Bike Rodeo, which brought out 64 kids, and two successful Nee Kee Nee Tours led by our new docent, Tom Sanger.

Corporate Volunteering

Corporate and community partners stepped up in a major way:

  • Commerce Bank assisted with litter cleanup.

  • Plant It Forward hosted three corporate groups: Busey Bank, Purina, and Ladue Garden Club.

  • SMOS students supported two cleanup days, and SMOS Girl Scout Troop 505 helped plant four critically endangered trees with our Forestry team.

Plant It Forward Impact

This fall, 168 volunteer hours were logged through 14 project days, engaging 114 participants in meaningful stewardship work.
