Tower Grove Park Neighborhood Access Enhancements

The City of St. Louis has commenced construction on the Neighborhood Access Improvement Project to improve 21 intersections around the Park. The project brings the intersections to ADA code while making them safer for all users entering and exiting the Park. There will also be a special crossing for the Missouri School for the Blind.

The exciting $1+ million project is being made possible through a combination of City, MODOT, federal, and Transportation Alternative Program grant funds.

Construction has begun at the intersection of S. 39th St. & Magnolia Ave. and will work counter-clockwise on the pedestrian only intersections. Once complete, they will begin improvements to Center Cross at Magnolia Ave. and Arsenal St., the Missouri School for the Blind, and the two Kingshighway Blvd. intersections.

The preliminary construction schedule estimates the City of St. Louis will complete the paving of Arsenal St. between S. Grand Blvd. and Kingshighway Blvd. in late summer/early fall of 2019.
