In order to ensure a successful event for all parties involved, all arrangements must go through the Park’s recreation coordinator. Please contact the recreation coordinator at 314-771-4484 for further information specific to your event.
Certificate of Liability Insurance
The event sponsor must provide a certificate of liability insurance of a minimum of $1,000,000 naming Tower Grove Park and the City of St. Louis.
Amplified sound is not permitted unless a contractual agreement has been put in place by the party involved and the Park. Please contact the Park’s recreation coordinator for further information and details. Additional permits may need to be acquired and additional fees may result.
Security is required specifically for the event. Consultation with the recreation coordinator regarding the needed number of St. Louis police officers will be determined based upon the size and nature of the event ($96/officer with a minimum of two officers).
Adequate portable restrooms are required for special events and it will be the responsibility of the event holder to arrange for such accommodations. Any event with over 200 in attendance must provide additional portable restrooms. Contact the Park’s recreation coordinator for proper permit issuance and for further rental information of the Park’s contracted vendor.
Adequate trash dumpsters are required for special events and it will be the responsibility of the event holder to arrange for such accommodations. Any event with over 200 in attendance must provide additional trash removal receptacles. Contact the Park’s recreation coordinator for proper permit issuance and for further rental information of the Park’s contracted vendor.
Glass containers are not permitted anywhere within the Park.
Neither parking nor driving on the grass at anytime is permitted. Park entrances and roads may not be blocked or barricaded at any time.
Signage Tape, tacks and staples are not permitted to hang signs however; signs may be hung with string the day of the event. Spray chalk/paint is not allowed to mark courses/routes however sidewalk chalk and/or cones or flags are permitted for such designations.
If your event is to include alcohol, tents, booths, stages, vendors, food sales, petting zoo, etc., please contact the recreation coordinator for more information. There is a required issuance of commercial permits as well as permit fees. Commercial permit fees are non-refundable regardless of whether the permit item(s) were or were not obtained.
